Therefore, the sonic belt tension meter was developed for the purpose of being able to measure easily and accurately by anyone. A sensor captures the sound wave (natural frequency) generated from the belt and processes it with a high-performance computer. Accurately displays the belt tension digitally.・ When an impact is applied to the belt tensioned between the pulleys, the belt initially vibrates in an irregular waveform including high frequency components and impact components, and then shifts to a regular waveform unique to the belt. Since the vibration damps in a short time, it has been very difficult to capture the period of the basic waveform, together with the generation of the vibration of higher order components. However, this is achieved by the development of unique data processing that captures vibration frequency using a microcomputer.
