BYK 4566 Micro Glossmeter S can be used for any material including paint, plastic or even highly reflective metal materials. 4566 Micro Glossmeter S improves the measurement accuracy of low gloss samples (less than 10 gloss units) and is used for the most stringent gloss meters to ensure the uniform gloss of interior parts.

Matt surface treatments are not only a new design trend, but are also crucial for applications that require a non- reflective - such as automotive interior parts.

In addition, the various surface structures, from large grains to fine streaks, often have a very low gloss. In order to ensure a consistent visual experience across different parts, very tight tolerances must be specified.

Only extremely accurate test instruments can objectively control production. The new Micro Gloss S series improves the measurement accuracy in the low gloss range (0-20GU) at 60°. Excellent accuracy is guaranteed by a patented calibration procedure .

Three angle gloss meter - see gloss changes under the right angle. In order to obtain differences clearly over the whole range from matte to high gloss, three measurement geometries were specified in international glossmeter standards. Each geometry is optimized for a specific gloss range.
