Digital force gauge for handheld (advanced model) is designed to improve repeatability even when hand-held. Additional functions are topped to DST. When handheld type is used, the measurement angle tends to be inconsistent, which limits the repeatability of measurement. The added function reduces variation in measurement angles and thus improves repeatability. Other useful features include the ability to continuously acquire peak values without button operation and also the internal memory. Some functions require connection to separately-sold products.
Compared to the basic DST models, the DSV dynamometers also offer a non-volatile internal memory with 1000 numerical values that can be recalled on the display or transferred to a PC, and a continuous peak recording mode, which allows the instrument, once the threshold of 10% of the dynamometer's FS has been exceeded, to continuously record the peak data based on the decrease in force when it reaches 7% of the full scale value. The DSV also offers another very useful function, namely the inclination detection function (with 3 adjustable sensitivity levels), ideal for performing manual tests at a certain slope. When this function is active, by pressing the ZERO button, the instrument will memorize the current inclination (as the chosen test axis) and every time the instrument changes the preset inclination, it will emit an audible warning to signal the deviation from the memorized axis based on the chosen sensitivity level.
