Acrylonitrile Detection Tubes (0.1 to 18 ppm) This detector tube measures Acrylonitrile within 0.1 to 18.0 ppm.

  • 0.1 to 0.2 ppm - 4 pump strokes - Correction Factor: 1/2
  • 0.2 to 6.0 ppm - 2 pump strokes - Correction Factor: 1
  • 6.0 to 18.0 ppm - 1 pump stroke - Correction Factor: 3
• Sampling Time: 2 minutes per pump stroke
• Detecting limit: 0.05 ppm (4 pump strokes)
• Changes from Yellow to Pink
• Corrections for temperature & humidity: Unnecessary

• Reaction Principle:
  • CH2:CHCN + Cr6+ + H2SO4 → HCN
  • 2HCN + HgCl2 → 2HCl
  • HCl + Base → Chloride
