Acrylonitrile Detection Tubes (2 to 360 ppm)Gastec Detector Tube No 191 is used for the detection of Acrylonitrile in the air of industrial areas and in environmental atmospheric conditions. 

• Measuring Range:
  • 2 to 5 ppm - 4 pump strokes - Correction Factor is 0.4
  • 5 to 120 ppm - 2 pump strokes - Correction Factor is 1
  • 120 to 360 ppm - 1 pump stroke - Correction Factor is 3
• Sampling Time: 45 seconds per pump stroke
• Detecting limit: 1 ppm (4 pump strokes)
• Changes from Yellow to Red
• Corrections for temperature & humidity: Temperature correction is necessary
• Relative Standard Deviation: 10% (for 5 to 40 ppm), 5% (for 40 to 120 ppm)
• 3 Year Shelf Life
• Reaction Principle:
• • CH2:CHCN + Cr 6+ + H2SO4 → HCN
  • 2HCN + HgCl2 → 2HCl
  • HCl + Base → Chloride
