• Voltage/current generation mode
  There are four types of voltage/current generation modes: DC, pulse, DC sweep, and pulse sweep. In addition, sweeps include fixed, linear, random (randomly generated by user programming), and two slopes.・There are four types of sweeps, including linear (linear sweep in which the step interval is switched in the middle).
• HI/LO limiter individual setting function
  HI/LO limiter settings are extremely important for voltage and current generation. The limiter (compliance) voltage during current generation must always be greater than or equal to the externally applied voltage. If a voltage higher than the limiter voltage is applied externally, an overload is detected and the IC enters the standby state. If the limiter setting value is the same plus or minus, when the capacitor is charged with a constant current and then discharged, reducing the limiter voltage will cause an overload. Also, if it is discharged with reverse polarity, it will discharge to negative voltage.
  The 6241A/6242 can set the HI/LO limiters independently, and the voltage limiters can have the same HI/LO polarity. This makes it possible to prevent charging and discharging of capacitors, especially over-discharging of batteries. It is also ideal for evaluating devices such as LDs that are used at a constant current and should not be subjected to reverse voltage application.
• The suspend function
  6241A/6242 can select the output OFF state from STBY (output relay OFF), HiZ (output relay ON, high resistance state), and LoZ (output relay ON, low resistance state). . This makes it possible to omit unnecessary ON/OFF of relays, and solve the conventional problem of relay life and decrease in throughput due to operation time. In addition, suspend voltage (voltage in HiZ and LoZ states) can be set to prevent transient current sinking that occurs when voltage output devices such as batteries are connected.
• Response waveforms and typical output noise values for the fast response, low noise
  6241A/6242 are shown. The 0-3V response is about 8.5μs for 0-90% rise, and the output noise is about 2.2mVp-p at DC-20MHz.
• Sample-and-hold measurement
  Sample-and-hold measurement is possible in pulse mode and pulse sweep mode. In sample hold measurement, the pulse is held immediately before the end and A/D converted with an integration time of 100 μs. In this case, the set measurement delay time is ignored.
